Derelicts formed in 2014 in Lille, France, uniting musicians from the local progressive rock and extreme metal scenes.
In 2016, the band released SHAOURS, a self-produced debut blending sludge, progressive elements and death metal, followed by a series of shows in 2017.
From 2018 onward, Derelicts shifted its focus to studio work and developed a more modern sound, influenced by melodic and progressive death metal.
Between 2018 and 2025, the band released seven meticulously arranged tracks, featuring orchestral elements, sound design, and a forward-thinking production approach, while collaborating with musicians from the local scene.
In 2025, Derelicts returned to the stage with a renewed lineup and strengthened creative momentum. Now operating as a five-piece supported by a dedicated technical team, the band delivers an immersive and demanding live experience that reflects its sonic identity.
With its musical direction now firmly defined and a drive to keep exploring, Derelicts is currently working on a new EP.

Derelicts naît en 2014 à Lille, autour de musiciens issus des scènes rock progressif et metal extrême. En 2016, le groupe publie SHAOURS, un premier disque autoproduit mêlant sludge, progressif et death metal, suivi d’une série de concerts en 2017.
À partir de 2018, Derelicts se concentre sur le travail en studio et développe une esthétique plus moderne, influencée par le death metal mélodique et progressif.
Entre 2018 et 2025, le groupe sort sept titres méticuleusement arrangés, intégrant orchestrations, sound design et une approche de production contemporaine, tout en collaborant ponctuellement avec la scène locale.
En 2025, Derelicts revient sur scène avec une nouvelle formation et une dynamique créative renforcée. Le groupe, désormais structuré en quintette, et soutenu par une équipe technique dédiée, délivre un live immersif et exigeant, fidèle à son identité sonore.
Porté par un langage musical désormais clairement défini et une volonté d’explorer plus loin, Derelicts compose actuellement un nouvel EP.

Marion | Vocals She joined the band as a vocalist in 2024. With a professional background rooted in the arts, she oversees the artistic direction of the project.
Simon | Guitars True enthusiast of modern music, Simon is a founding member of Derelicts. As the band’s composer, arranger, producer, he is responsible for most of the songs.
Ivan | Bass Bassist of the band since its inception, he is one of the founding members. Highly comfortable on stage, he also handles a significant part of the backing vocals.
Clément | Guitars Joining the band in 2022, he brings fresh influences to the group. As a modern metal enthusiast, he has helped shape a new era for the band with pitch-shifters and 7-string guitars.
Pierre | Drums Joining as the band’s drummer in 2023, Pierre is the steady force of the group. He’s a fan of progressive music and draws from his diverse musical background to enrich the band’s sound.
Paul | Technic / Light He is responsible for programming the band’s light show, managing the system architecture, and designing technical solutions to meet the group’s needs.
Hugo | Orchestrations As a professional composer and arranger, he enhances the band’s orchestral universe with his unique touch and expertise.
